Ms. Lily was born in Beijing, China. She earned her Montessori certificate from the Montessori Institute of San Diego, in 2018, and began her Montessori career in Eugene, Oregon, drawing upon 6 years of prior experience teaching Mandarin to children in the U.S and 4 years of working with children. She completed her MA degree in Language Teaching Studies at the University of Oregon and has continued with courses and certificates in school leadership and administration. Lily relocated to teach Montessori in the Washington DC area in 2020. 

Ms. Luz was born in La Paz, Bolivia. She later moved to Virginia. Luz studied Early Childhood Education in College and has more than 20 years of experience working with young children. She began teaching at Ridgemont Montessori School in 1997. During her time here, she spent 15 years developing her own curriculum to teach Spanish to children of various ages in an engaging yet challenging manner tailored for young minds. Throughout her career Luz has continued to grow a passion for teaching young children and helping them become healthy and happy individuals. Luz enjoys arts and crafts, loves spending time with her family,  and can often be found hiking or knitting for fun.
